Atiku, Obi, Fubara, Al-Mustapha, FRSC Feature in Major Events Across Nigeria

ABUJA — Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) featured in separate engagements across Nigeria.
Atiku received the Chargé d’Affaires of the High Commission of Canada to Nigeria, David Sproule, and members of his team during a meeting in Abuja.
The engagement formed part of diplomatic interactions involving Nigerian political stakeholders and representatives of the international community. Discussions at the meeting were expected to focus on issues of mutual interest between Nigeria and Canada, as well as developments in Nigeria.
In Kogi State, Peter Obi visited Onugba Ukoh in Olomaboro Local Government Area, where he visited Mater Spei Model Nursery and Primary School.
Obi also laid the foundation stone for Mater Spei Secondary, Technical and Vocational School as part of his activities in the community.
The visit placed education, technical training and vocational development at the centre of his engagement with residents of the area.
Meanwhile, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha paid a condolence visit to former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, following the death of his mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi.
Al-Mustapha’s visit was part of ongoing condolences to the Amaechi family following the passing of the former governor’s mother.
In Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara commissioned the newly completed 19.79-kilometre Buguma–Degema–Abonnema Road.
The road is expected to improve transportation and connectivity among communities in the riverine area while facilitating the movement of people and goods across the affected communities.
Also in Enugu State, the Federal Road Safety Corps hosted an international training programme on Stress Management and Emotional Well-being for Law Enforcement Officers.
The programme was organised through a strategic partnership between the FRSC and Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gujarat, India, and held at the FRSC Academy, Udi.
The training focused on stress management and emotional well-being, with attention to the challenges faced by law enforcement officers in the course of their duties.
The various engagements reflected ongoing activities in Nigeria’s political, diplomatic, infrastructure, education and law enforcement sectors.
