Ihedioha, Nwajiuba Join Dignitaries at Agu Family’s Traditional Marriage Ceremony in Ehime Mbano

Former Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, and former Minister of State for Education, Rt. Hon. Barr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, were among distinguished guests who attended the traditional marriage ceremony of Miss Deborah Agu and Mr. Manuel Chris-Ogar Jr. at Umunweri Village, Umuezeala Nsu Autonomous Community, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
The traditional marriage ceremony drew an array of prominent personalities, including political leaders, captains of industry, community stakeholders, family members, and well-wishers who converged to witness the formal union of the couple in line with the customs and traditions of the Igbo people.
Ihedioha attended the ceremony in solidarity with the Agu family, particularly Chief Emma Agu, a veteran journalist and former Editor-in-Chief and Executive Director of Champion Newspapers, whose contributions to the Nigerian media industry have earned him widespread recognition.
Addressing guests at the event, the former governor described Chief Agu as a distinguished media practitioner whose integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical journalism have left an enduring impact on the profession and public service.
He congratulated the newlyweds and offered prayers for a successful marital journey, expressing hope that their union would be blessed with love, peace, unity, wisdom, good health, and lasting prosperity.
The elegant event featured traditional rites, cultural performances, music, goodwill messages, and other activities that reflected the rich heritage of the host community while celebrating the coming together of the Agu and Chris-Ogar families.
Former Minister of State for Education, Rt. Hon. Barr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, was also in attendance alongside several distinguished personalities who joined family members and friends in celebrating the memorable occasion.
Ihedioha was accompanied by Sir Barr. Chuks Ogbonna Nwolokoro, Chief Okey Omereonye, Hon. Chinedu Nsofor, and other associates and supporters, who participated in the festivities.
