‎"History is the witness that testifies to the passing of time; it illuminates reality, vitalises memory, provides guidance in daily life, and brings us tidings of antiquity." — Marcus Tullius Cicero

‎Every generation is remembered not merely for the events it witnessed but for the men and women who dared to rise above personal comfort to serve humanity with courage, compassion, and conviction. Such individuals become the moral compass of their communities, inspiring hope where despair exists and providing leadership where uncertainty prevails. Today, as family, friends, political associates, admirers, and the good people of Oguta State Constituency celebrate the birthday of Apostle Lemchi David Ebirim (Ochina Nwata), we honour not only another year added to his life but a journey distinguished by faith, selfless service, community development, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of his people.

‎Apostle Lemchi David Ebirim is a man whose life has been defined by purpose. He has consistently demonstrated that leadership is not about titles or positions but about responsibility, sacrifice, and the willingness to uplift others. His remarkable journey through faith, community leadership, philanthropy, and politics has earned him the admiration of many across Oguta Local Government Area and beyond.

‎As a devoted servant of God and an Apostle of our Lord Jesus Christ, Apostle Lemchi has continually exemplified the virtues of humility, compassion, integrity, and righteousness. His ministry has extended beyond the pulpit into the everyday lives of people, offering spiritual guidance, hope, and encouragement to countless individuals. His unalloyed belief that faith should produce tangible positive change has shaped his approach to leadership and human relations.

‎The renowned American historian Will Durant once observed, "The greatest use of a life is to spend it for something that will outlast it." Few statements better describe Apostle Lemchi's enduring commitment to humanity. Through acts of generosity, encouragement, and community support, he has invested in lives, nurtured dreams, and restored hope to many who may never be able to repay his kindness. Such is the hallmark of true philanthropy—not the pursuit of recognition but the sincere desire to improve the lives of others.

‎His tenure as the National Chairman of the Umushim Ogbuagu Development Union has further demonstrated his passion for grassroots development. Under his leadership, the ideals of unity, peace, cooperation, and collective progress have remained central to community affairs. He understands that sustainable development begins within the community and that the strength of any society lies in the unity of its people. His ability to bring people together, listen to divergent opinions, and seek common ground has continued to distinguish him as a bridge-builder and consensus-driven leader.

‎Politically, Apostle Lemchi David Ebirim has remained a respected grassroots mobiliser whose influence is built on accessibility, sincerity, and service. His previous role as the Chairman of the Labour Party in Oguta Local Government Area reflected his commitment to participatory democracy and people-oriented leadership. Rather than seeing politics as an avenue for personal enrichment, he has consistently viewed it as a platform for justice, representation, and community transformation.

‎"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others," said Mahatma Gandhi. Apostle Lemchi's political philosophy appears deeply rooted in this timeless principle. His engagements with ordinary people—the farmers, traders, youths, women, artisans, elders, and community stakeholders—have earned him the reputation of being a leader who listens before he speaks and serves before he seeks recognition.

‎Today, as one of the leading contenders of the Action People's Party (APP) for the Oguta State Constituency seat in the 2027 General Election, Apostle Lemchi carries with him the hopes and aspirations of many who believe that responsive representation can redefine governance. His aspiration reflects a vision centred on inclusive development, youth empowerment, quality education, improved infrastructure, economic opportunities, and policies that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens.

‎Leadership is ultimately measured by trust, and trust is earned through consistency. Apostle Lemchi's political journey has been characterised by resilience, moderation, and respect for democratic ideals. He has remained approachable, calm in temperament, easy-going in disposition, and respectful even in moments of political disagreement. These qualities have endeared him to supporters and opponents alike, proving that civility remains one of the strongest virtues in public leadership.

‎The celebrated historian Arnold J. Toynbee wisely stated, "The supreme accomplishment is to blur the line between work and play." Apostle Lemchi appears to embody this philosophy through his tireless commitment to serving both God and humanity with genuine enthusiasm and dedication. Whether in community meetings, political engagements, church activities, or philanthropic interventions, he approaches every responsibility with uncommon sincerity.

‎Beyond politics and public office, Apostle Lemchi David Ebirim is a loving father, a dependable mentor, a trusted friend, and a proud son of Umushim Ogbuagu in Obudi, Agwa, Oguta Local Government Area. His life reminds us that greatness begins with character, and that enduring influence is built upon humility, compassion, honesty, and service. These are the enduring values that continue to inspire confidence in his leadership.

‎As he celebrates this new chapter today, 26th July 2026, it is our earnest prayer that Almighty God grants him renewed strength, divine wisdom, excellent health, greater favour, and abundant grace to continue serving both God and humanity. May every noble aspiration concerning his life receive divine direction, and may every worthy dream blossom into lasting achievements for the benefit of the people he passionately seeks to serve.

‎The English philosopher Francis Bacon once wrote, "A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds." We believe this new age presents another opportunity for Apostle Lemchi David Ebirim to continue writing inspiring chapters in the story of Oguta's development through faith, visionary leadership, and selfless service.

‎Apostle Lemchi David Ebirim (Ochina Nwata), this is your time, and may God fulfil your ambition of liberating Ndi-Oguta.

‎Happy Birthday, and may your years ahead be filled with greater accomplishments, lasting peace, divine favour, and abundant blessings.
