IRI Mission Engages PDP Leadership in Abuja Ahead of 2027 Elections

The International Republican Institute (IRI) Foreign Pre-Election Assessment Mission from the United States has engaged the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja as part of consultations ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 General Elections.
The engagement, held at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall of the PDP National Secretariat at Wadata Plaza, Abuja, brought together senior officials of the opposition party and members of the IRI delegation for discussions centred on Nigeria’s democratic development and preparations for the forthcoming elections.
Among the PDP figures who participated in the high-level meeting was Dr. Grema Kyari, the party’s senatorial candidate for Borno Central District in the 2027 elections.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the participants to exchange views on issues relating to Nigeria’s electoral process, democratic institutions, political participation and the need for credible and inclusive elections.
