The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the Director of Media, Publicity and Communication, Hon. Samson Ezea.
According to the statement, the new appointments are in line with Senator Asogwa's commitment to effective and efficient service delivery, responsive leadership, and inclusive representation. The latest appointments come in addition to the initial 11 aides appointed shortly after he assumed office.
The newly appointed Special Advisers are Rt. Hon. Dr. Chinedu Nwamba (Political), Rt. Hon. Dr. Ogbonna Idike (Security and Logistics), Rt. Hon. Mrs. Ethel Ugwuanyi (Women Affairs), Hon. Barr. Vincent Diugwu (Legal Matters), Hon. John Nwakoby (Non-Indigenes), and Hon. Martin Oloto (Strategy and Tactics).
The statement further disclosed that the 24 Executive Assistants were carefully selected from the 24 Development Centres spread across the six local government areas that make up the Enugu North Senatorial Zone. The appointments are intended to strengthen communication between the senator's office and communities while ensuring that every part of the district has a direct channel for engagement and feedback.
Senator Asogwa congratulated the newly appointed aides and charged them to remain focused, dedicated, and accountable in the discharge of their responsibilities. He emphasized that the people of Enugu North deserve quality, accessible, and people-centred representation that reflects their aspirations and development needs.
The senator noted that the appointments are designed to improve policy implementation, facilitate effective constituency outreach, and promote greater inclusiveness in governance. He stressed that his administration remains committed to ensuring that no community within the senatorial district is left behind.
Political observers have described the appointments as a demonstration of Senator Asogwa's determination to build a broad-based and participatory leadership structure capable of addressing the diverse needs of constituents. The inclusion of advisers in strategic areas such as politics, security, legal matters, women affairs, non-indigenes, and strategy is expected to enhance policy coordination and strengthen the delivery of constituency services.
The decision to appoint Executive Assistants from all 24 Development Centres has also been commended as a deliberate effort to ensure equitable representation and deepen grassroots participation in governance. The move is expected to improve information flow between the senator's office and local communities while fostering greater inclusiveness in decision-making.
Since assuming office, Senator Asogwa has continued to demonstrate his commitment to responsive leadership through initiatives aimed at expanding public participation, promoting development, and ensuring that every segment of the Enugu North Senatorial District benefits from effective representation.
