‎Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its petrol ex-gantry price by ₦75 per litre, bringing the rate down from ₦1,250 to ₦1,175 per litre.

‎The new pricing structure took effect at 12:00 a.m. on June 16, 2026. The refinery also announced a reduction in its coastal loading price to ₦1,495,215 per metric tonne.

‎According to the company, the price adjustment follows the recent de-escalation of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which has contributed to a decline in international crude oil prices.

‎The refinery said the move reflects its commitment to passing cost savings to the domestic market, improving downstream efficiency and providing relief to consumers and industry participants.

‎Market analysts believe the reduction could intensify competition among petroleum marketers and create room for lower retail pump prices across the country as operators adjust to the new ex-gantry pricing template.

‎The latest adjustment comes amid ongoing efforts to stabilize Nigeria's downstream petroleum sector and improve the affordability of fuel for businesses and households.
