Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its petrol ex-gantry price by ₦75 per litre, bringing the rate down from ₦1,250 to ₦1,175 per litre.
The new pricing structure took effect at 12:00 a.m. on June 16, 2026. The refinery also announced a reduction in its coastal loading price to ₦1,495,215 per metric tonne.
According to the company, the price adjustment follows the recent de-escalation of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which has contributed to a decline in international crude oil prices.
The refinery said the move reflects its commitment to passing cost savings to the domestic market, improving downstream efficiency and providing relief to consumers and industry participants.
Market analysts believe the reduction could intensify competition among petroleum marketers and create room for lower retail pump prices across the country as operators adjust to the new ex-gantry pricing template.
The latest adjustment comes amid ongoing efforts to stabilize Nigeria's downstream petroleum sector and improve the affordability of fuel for businesses and households.
