Mexico Become First Team to Reach Round of 32
Co-hosts Mexico became the first nation to book a place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over South Korea in Guadalajara.

Switzerland also strengthened their qualification ambitions with a dominant 4-1 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After a tightly contested opening hour that ended goalless, the Swiss side erupted with four goals in the final 23 minutes, showcasing their attacking quality and clinical finishing. Bosnia's frustrations culminated in a late red card, adding to a difficult night for the Balkan nation.
Qualification Race Intensifies
Following two rounds of matches, Mexico lead Group A with a perfect six points and have already secured qualification for the Round of 32. Canada sit atop Group B after their historic victory, while Switzerland remain firmly on course for the knockout stage following their convincing win.
