‎CHUDIFICATION 2027 CAMPAIGN TEAM CONGRATULATES BARR. CHUDI EGWE EVANS ON LANDSLIDE VICTORY IN OHAJI-EGBEMA NDC DIRECT PRIMARY, CALLS FOR FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE IN OGUTA

‎The Chudification 2027 Campaign Team warmly congratulates our principal, Hon. (Barr.) Chudi Egwe Evans, a leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing the Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru-West Federal Constituency, achieved an overwhelming victory in the recently concluded direct primary election of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area.

‎This remarkable victory is a clear demonstration of the confidence, trust, and overwhelming support that party members and stakeholders have continued to place in the leadership capacity, vision, and people-oriented philosophy of Barr. Chudi Egwe Evans. It further underscores the growing acceptance of the Chudification movement across the Federal Constituency.

‎We sincerely appreciate the thousands of party faithful, delegates, youths, women, community leaders, stakeholders, and supporters who came out to participate in the democratic process and overwhelmingly endorsed our principal. Their support reflects a collective desire for purposeful representation, inclusive leadership, and sustainable development for the people of Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta, and Oru-West.

‎As we await the official declaration of the results from Oru-West Local Government Area, we remain optimistic and confident that Hon. (Barr.) Chudi Egwe Evans will emerge victorious at the conclusion of the primary process. This confidence is anchored on his proven record of service, extensive grassroots engagement, and the tremendous goodwill he enjoys across the three constituent local government areas that make up the Federal Constituency.

‎Throughout the campaign period, Barr. Chudi Egwe Evans demonstrated exceptional commitment to party unity and grassroots mobilization. He traversed the length and breadth of Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta, and Oru-West, sharing a message of hope, development, effective representation, and inclusive governance. His cordial relationship with party leaders, members, and stakeholders across the constituency has continued to reinforce his position as the preferred choice of the people.

‎THERE WAS NO ELECTION IN OGUTA

‎While we celebrate the successful conduct of the primary election in Ohaji-Egbema and await the outcome from Oru-West—representing two out of the three local government areas that make up the Federal Constituency—we consider it necessary to draw the attention of the general public, members of our great party, and the leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to the disturbing developments reported in Oguta Local Government Area.

‎Information available to our campaign team from party members, stakeholders, and supporters indicates that no valid primary election was conducted in Oguta Local Government Area in accordance with the approved guidelines and procedures of the party.

‎We find it deeply troubling that in a democratic environment where transparency, fairness, and popular participation should be the guiding principles of political engagement, there are allegations suggesting attempts to undermine the collective will of party members through actions capable of compromising the credibility of the exercise.

‎A direct primary election is fundamentally designed to allow party members to freely determine their preferred candidate. It is a democratic process intended to reward popularity, acceptability, competence, credibility, and grassroots support. Any action that seeks to circumvent or manipulate this process runs contrary to the principles of internal democracy and risks eroding public confidence in the electoral system.

‎The Chudification Campaign Team is particularly concerned by allegations suggesting that the NDC Chairman in Oguta Local Government Area, Mr. Ikechukwu Omana, alongside other party officials, may have failed in their responsibility to maintain neutrality, fairness, and transparency throughout the exercise. Reports alleging actions that favoured Mr. Stanley Nwakamma Orum, one of the aspirants from Oguta, have generated widespread concern among party members and stakeholders who expected a credible and transparent process.

‎We wish to state unequivocally that our campaign remains committed to the principles of democracy, fairness, justice, equity, and due process. We firmly believe that every aspirant deserves a level playing field and that the outcome of any electoral process must reflect the genuine wishes and mandate of party members rather than the interests or preferences of a select few individuals.

‎OUR DEMAND

‎In view of the foregoing, we respectfully call on the leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), particularly the National Electoral/Selection Committee and all relevant organs of the party, to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Oguta exercise and ensure that justice is done in the interest of democracy, party unity, and the integrity of the primary process.

‎We are confident that the leadership of our great party will rise to the occasion by upholding the values upon which the NDC is founded and ensuring that the outcome of the primary election accurately reflects the true mandate of party members across the Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru-West Federal Constituency.

‎To our supporters across Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta, and Oru-West, we urge you to remain calm, peaceful, law-abiding, and unwavering in your support for our great party and the Chudification movement. This is a critical moment that calls for patience, unity, maturity, and continued commitment to democratic ideals.

‎We remain convinced that the overwhelming support demonstrated by party members throughout the constituency will ultimately prevail and that Hon. (Barr.) Chudi Egwe Evans will be duly declared the winner by the National Electoral/Selection Committee of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

‎Together, we shall continue to work towards building a stronger party, a more united Federal Constituency, and a brighter future for the people of Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta, and Oru-West.
