‎As part of activities marking her Homecoming and Thank You Visit to Bayelsa State, Miss World Nigeria 2026, Queen Tamunosoye Karibi-George, paid a courtesy visit to the ultra-modern Secretariat Complex of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide currently under construction.

‎The beauty queen was received by the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, who personally conducted her on a guided tour of the landmark facility and provided details on its vision, scope, and expected impact on youth development across the Ijaw nation.

‎Speaking during the tour, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri described the Secretariat Complex as a transformative investment in the future of Ijaw youths and a significant milestone in the institutional growth of the IYC. He explained that the project features a three-storey administrative block, a 2,500-capacity conference hall, a youth training centre, warehouse facilities, a modern car park, and other complementary structures designed to strengthen youth engagement, leadership development, and organisational coordination.

‎According to the IYC President, the facility is strategically designed to serve as a hub for youth empowerment, capacity building, entrepreneurship development, and policy-driven initiatives that will positively impact young people across Ijaw communities.

‎Lokpobiri further noted that the objectives of the Secretariat Complex align with the vision of Queen Tamunosoye's social advocacy platform, Beyond Label, which focuses on promoting education, awareness, inclusion, and the elimination of societal stereotypes surrounding children and persons living with disabilities and special needs.

‎In her remarks, Queen Tamunosoye Karibi-George expressed admiration for the scale and vision of the project, particularly highlighting the youth training centre as a critical component capable of driving sustainable youth empowerment and skills acquisition.

‎She stated that initiatives that create opportunities for learning, leadership, and inclusion are essential to building resilient communities and unlocking the potential of young people. The Miss World Nigeria 2026 titleholder commended the IYC leadership for prioritising projects that invest in human capital development and provide platforms for youths to thrive.

‎Queen Tamunosoye also observed that the project resonates strongly with the goals of her Beyond Label advocacy campaign, which seeks to promote equal opportunities, social inclusion, and greater support for vulnerable groups within society.

‎The visit underscored the growing importance of strategic partnerships among youth-focused institutions, development advocates, and community leaders in advancing empowerment programmes and fostering sustainable development across the Niger Delta.

‎Stakeholders at the event reaffirmed their shared commitment to creating opportunities that will inspire the next generation, strengthen community development, and contribute to a brighter future for Ijaw youths.
