By Abuchi Randy Onuoha
As the 2027 general elections approach, the people of Nkwerre/Isu/Njaba/Nwangele Federal Constituency deserve representation that delivers results. Our constituency is blessed with talented people, vibrant communities, and enormous potential. What is needed is purposeful leadership that can translate those strengths into tangible development.
This is why the support group behind Hon. Chief Cosmas Maduba (Odebube, Ikenga of Isu Clan) believes that his candidacy represents an opportunity to pursue effective, accountable, and people-focused representation at the House of Representatives.
Our vision is built around five priorities:
1. Quality Representation and Strong Legislative Advocacy
The voice of Nkwerre/Isu/Njaba/Nwangele should be heard wherever national decisions are made. We envision a representative who will actively participate in legislative debates, contribute to policies that promote national development, and advocate for initiatives that benefit our constituency.
2. Infrastructure and Community Development
Every community deserves access to basic infrastructure. Our support group believes that roads, healthcare facilities, schools, electricity, clean water, and digital connectivity should remain central priorities in attracting federal attention and development projects to the constituency.
3. Youth and Women Empowerment
The future belongs to our young people. We support policies and programmes that expand opportunities through skills acquisition, entrepreneurship support, digital training, scholarships, vocational education, and greater inclusion of women in economic development.
4. Economic Growth Through Agriculture and Small Businesses
Our farmers, traders, artisans, and entrepreneurs are the backbone of our local economy. Representation should seek opportunities that improve access to agricultural support, business development programmes, financing opportunities, and markets that help families build sustainable livelihoods.
5. Accessible, Transparent, and Accountable Leadership
Representation should not begin and end in Abuja. We believe in regular town hall meetings, an active constituency office, continuous engagement with traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth organizations, women groups, and professional associations, ensuring that the concerns of the people guide legislative priorities.
The support group firmly believes that leadership is about service, integrity, and measurable impact. The true value of representation lies not only in debates within the National Assembly but also in the positive changes experienced by the people at home.
As 2027 draws nearer, we call on all sons and daughters of Nkwerre, Isu, Njaba, and Nwangele to unite behind a vision of inclusive development, responsible leadership, and sustainable progress.
Thus, the strength of a constituency is measured not by the promises made during campaigns, but by the progress achieved through purposeful representation. Together, we can build a future where every community has a voice, every youth has an opportunity, and every family shares in the dividends of democracy.
