‎An indigene of Agwa Ancient Kingdom in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, Mr. Faith Mba, has earned widespread recognition after emerging as the only African to own a Toyota dealership in the United States.

‎The achievement has sparked celebrations across Agwa and beyond, with community leaders, stakeholders, and residents describing it as a milestone that has brought honour to Agwa, Imo State, Nigeria, and the African continent.

‎The news was shared on the Agwa Central Union WhatsApp platform by Chief Chibunna Ubawuike, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, businessman, and public affairs analyst from Obuokwu Obudi, Agwa Ancient Kingdom. The announcement attracted an outpouring of congratulatory messages from Agwa indigenes at home and in the diaspora.

‎Faith Mba, who hails from Ukwuoha Mgbala in Agwa Autonomous Community, reflected on his journey in the American automobile industry, revealing that there are about 1,300 Toyota and Lexus dealerships across the United States, with only 44 owned by Black entrepreneurs.

‎According to him, he is the only African among the Black dealership owners, describing the feat as the result of years of dedication, resilience, hard work, and commitment to excellence.

‎The development has continued to attract commendation from Agwa stakeholders, who described the accomplishment as a source of pride and inspiration for the community.

‎Speaking with Inside Agwa News, community leader Linus Marako described the achievement as "a historic milestone that places Agwa on the global map of business excellence."

‎"This is not just a personal achievement for Faith Mba; it is a victory for Agwa, for Imo State, and for every young African who believes that hard work and determination can open doors across the world," Marako said.

‎In a congratulatory message posted on the Agwa Central Union platform, Rufus Ashiegbu praised Mba for bringing global recognition to his hometown.

‎He said no amount of congratulations could adequately express the joy and pride his remarkable accomplishment had brought to the Agwa community.

‎Ashiegbu noted that Faith Mba's success had elevated the profile of Agwa on the global stage, praying for God's continued blessings, protection, good health, long life, and greater accomplishments in his life and career.

‎Youth leaders in the community also described Mba's journey as a powerful inspiration for young people, urging them to embrace education, entrepreneurship, innovation, integrity, and perseverance in pursuit of excellence.

‎Residents said the achievement further demonstrates the entrepreneurial spirit for which the Igbo people are widely known, noting that Agwa has continued to produce distinguished professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovators making significant contributions across the world.

‎They also called on governments and community development organisations to create an enabling environment that would empower more young Nigerians to develop their talents, compete globally, and contribute meaningfully to national development.

‎Faith Mba's emergence as the only African owner of a Toyota dealership in the United States adds to the growing list of Nigerians making remarkable contributions in global commerce and industry. His achievement stands as a testament to resilience, excellence, and determination, while serving as an inspiration to millions of young Africans aspiring to succeed on the global stage.

‎Community members have continued to celebrate the Agwa-born entrepreneur, expressing hope that his remarkable feat will encourage future generations to dream bigger, work harder, and continue projecting the image of Agwa, Imo State, Nigeria, and Africa with distinction.
