‎A presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has expressed deep concern over the increasing wave of terror attacks across Nigeria, describing the situation as a serious threat to the country's sovereignty and national stability.

‎Hayatu-Deen said the persistent insecurity reflects significant shortcomings within the nation's security architecture, stressing that the primary responsibility of government is to protect the lives and property of its citizens.

‎He noted that continued attacks by terrorists, bandits and other armed groups have forced thousands of people to flee their communities, disrupted economic activities and created widespread fear in many parts of the country.

‎According to the ADC presidential hopeful, the growing humanitarian and economic challenges resulting from insecurity underscore the need for urgent and comprehensive reforms of the country's internal security system.

‎Hayatu-Deen called for a substantial increase in funding for security agencies, arguing that adequate resources are essential to improve operational effectiveness and strengthen the nation's capacity to combat emerging threats.

‎He also advocated the modernization of intelligence gathering and surveillance systems, maintaining that technology-driven security operations would enhance the ability of authorities to prevent attacks and respond more effectively.

‎In addition, he emphasized the importance of improving the welfare, training and working conditions of security personnel, stating that motivated and well-equipped officers are critical to restoring public confidence and ensuring lasting peace.

‎Hayatu-Deen urged the government to treat security as a national priority, insisting that decisive action is necessary to safeguard lives, rebuild trust in public institutions and create an environment conducive to economic growth and development.
