‎The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has updated the list of national officers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on its official portal, replacing Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro as National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary, respectively.

‎The electoral body now lists Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran as the PDP National Treasurer and Eyim Donatus Henry as the National Financial Secretary, reflecting a significant change in the party's recognised national leadership structure.

‎Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro are associated with the faction backed by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and former National Chairman Adamu Turaki, while Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran and Eyim Donatus Henry are aligned with the faction led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

‎INEC had earlier recognised the Wike-backed leadership by listing Abdulrahman Mohammed as the National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary. However, the continued inclusion of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro on the portal had created uncertainty over the composition of the party's national executive.

‎With the latest update, all national officers currently displayed on INEC's portal are members of the faction aligned with Minister Nyesom Wike, effectively bringing the commission's official records into alignment with that leadership bloc.

‎The development is expected to influence the ongoing leadership contest within the PDP as stakeholders continue efforts to resolve internal disputes ahead of future political activities.
