1. Over 30 Killed in Fresh Kaduna Attack
No fewer than 30 people have reportedly been killed after heavily armed attackers invaded Narido community in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) condemned the attack and called for urgent government intervention to protect vulnerable communities.
2. Reps Order IGP to Produce Alleged PFIPC DG
The House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee investigating the activities of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) has directed the Inspector-General of Police to produce the self-acclaimed Director-General of the organisation, Adeyemi Adeniyi, before the committee by noon on Wednesday following allegations surrounding the agency's operations.
3. Nigeria, South Africa Disagree Over Security Pact
South Africa has reportedly declined to ratify the proposed Early Warning Mechanism agreement with Nigeria, citing reasons Nigerian officials described as inadequate. The agreement was designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation on security, consular protection, and conflict prevention.
4. Naira Weakens Against the Dollar
The Nigerian currency depreciated on Monday, exchanging at ₦1,407 per dollar in the parallel market, compared to ₦1,400 recorded last Friday. The naira also weakened in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), trading at ₦1,364 per dollar.

The suit argues that Obi's constitutional right to life and security must be protected.
7. Reps Uncover 29 Allegedly Forged Government Documents
The House of Representatives Committee probing the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council says it has uncovered at least 29 suspected forged official government documents linked to the organisation and its self-acclaimed Director-General.
8. Former Council Security Chief Shot Dead in Rivers
Gunmen have killed Letam Kine, a former Chief Security Officer of Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State. The attack occurred along Polytechnic Road in Bori, with preliminary reports suggesting suspected cult-related violence.
9. Two Die in Anambra Hostel Building Collapse
At least two people have been confirmed dead while three others were rescued after a three-storey student hostel known as Elite Five Star Lodge collapsed near the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Rescue efforts are continuing as authorities investigate the cause of the collapse.
10. ADC, Ikwerre Council Clash Over Ban on Public Gatherings
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State has criticised the Ikwerre Local Government Chairman, Charles Wobodo, over a recent ban on public gatherings.
