Israel Demolishes Underground Hezbollah Infrastructure in Southern Lebanon With Massive Explosives

The Israeli military has carried out a large-scale demolition operation targeting underground infrastructure allegedly belonging to Hezbollah along the Ali al-Taher ridge in southern Lebanon.
According to Israeli officials, more than 1,100 tonnes of explosives were used in the operation to destroy an extensive network of underground facilities that the military said had been developed by Hezbollah over several decades.

Israeli military officials said the underground complex contained command facilities, weapons storage areas and other infrastructure allegedly used by Hezbollah for military operations.
The Israeli government described the demolition as a significant military operation intended to remove what it considers a longstanding security threat along the country's northern frontier.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly confirmed the operation, saying the destruction of the underground network strengthens Israel's operational control over the strategic highlands in southern Lebanon.
