As political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum, frontline Orlu Zone senatorial aspirant on the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh, has intensified his nationwide consultations aimed at deepening political alliances and expanding his support base across strategic circles.
In continuation of his high-level engagements, Odunzeh recently held a meeting with former Kano State Governor and respected national political figure, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, in what observers described as a significant move towards broader political collaboration and grassroots-driven coalition building.
The discussion reportedly centered on the future of democratic governance in Nigeria, the importance of credible leadership, and the need for inclusive representation capable of addressing the pressing socio-economic realities facing citizens across the country.
Speaking after the meeting, Odunzeh reiterated his determination to provide effective and people-oriented representation for the people of Orlu Zone if elected into the Senate in 2027. He stressed that the current political climate demands visionary leadership, unity of purpose, and strategic partnerships that can drive sustainable development and restore public confidence in governance.
According to the senatorial hopeful, engagements with experienced national figures and political stakeholders such as Kwankwaso and former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, remain essential in shaping a practical legislative agenda that aligns with the aspirations and expectations of the people.
Political analysts believe Odunzeh’s increasing consultations with influential leaders across party and regional lines reflect his growing political reach and determination to build a formidable structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
The meeting with Kwankwaso, in particular, is seen by many as a reflection of Odunzeh’s rising national profile and his readiness to champion impactful representation for Orlu Zone at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
Over the years, Odunzeh has continued to attract support from youths, community leaders, professionals, and stakeholders within and outside Imo State, with many describing his emerging movement as a fresh opportunity for progressive, inclusive, and development-focused representation in Orlu Zone.
