Soludo Backs Progressive Alliance, Joins Tinubu Endorsement Rally in Ebonyi

Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on Saturday joined an endorsement rally in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, where he expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and called for greater collaboration among progressive political forces across Nigeria.
Addressing a large gathering of supporters at the event, Soludo described his attendance as a solidarity visit and emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing national development.
Standing alongside the Governor of Ebonyi State, whom he referred to as "my own brother," Soludo commended the growing cooperation among leaders committed to promoting stability, development, and good governance.
"I am here on a solidarity march with my own brother, the Rt. Hon. Governor of Ebonyi State, who, by the grace of God, remains governor until 2031," he said.
Representing the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the Anambra governor stated that progressive-minded leaders should work together in pursuit of national progress.
"I am here in solidarity with you because today, you are endorsing the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I have come in solidarity because progressives are working together. The time has come for progressive forces across the country to unite," Soludo said.
The governor acknowledged the economic and social challenges facing the country but expressed confidence that the current administration's reforms would yield positive results.
He also disclosed that APGA would, at the appropriate time, meet to formally articulate its position on strengthening a broad-based progressive coalition aimed at supporting ongoing reforms and institutional development.
Addressing the Igbo community, Soludo urged a shift toward constructive political engagement and strategic partnerships.
"I say to ụmụnne m ndị Igbo, enough of the politics of lamentation. The time has come for us to move from an alliance of protest to an alliance for progress—an alliance built on partnership, development, and shared prosperity for Ndi Igbo. We must come together as one people, and we must not continue to waste our votes," he said.
His remarks were well received by participants, with many describing the event as a reflection of ongoing political realignments and discussions on regional participation in national governance.
The rally concluded with participants reaffirming their support for President Tinubu and expressing commitment to promoting national unity, stability, and development.
