‎United States President Donald Trump drew laughter from fellow world leaders on Wednesday after jokingly declaring himself “the boss” as he arrived for the final working session of the Group of Seven (G7) summit in France.

‎The three-day summit, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, brought together leaders of the world's major industrialized democracies to discuss global economic and political issues.

‎As Trump entered the meeting room with other leaders already seated, he remarked, “I’m the boss,” prompting laughter from participants. Macron responded with a smile, asking, “How are you?” to which Trump replied, “Good, thank you,” before taking his seat.

‎The light-hearted exchange reflected a relaxed atmosphere at the closing session of the summit. Trump, a former businessman and television personality known for the catchphrase “You’re fired!” from The Apprentice, appeared in good spirits throughout the event.

‎French officials welcomed the fact that the U.S. president remained for the entire summit and endorsed the joint G7 communiqué, a notable contrast to a previous G7 meeting in Canada where he departed before the conclusion.

‎Following the summit, Macron invited Trump to a private dinner at the historic Palace of Versailles, located just outside Paris. French officials emphasized that the gathering was intended as a working engagement rather than a ceremonial gala event, amid domestic scrutiny over the French president's diplomatic approach toward his American counterpart.

‎The summit concluded with member nations reaffirming their commitment to cooperation on key global economic and security challenges while maintaining dialogue on areas of policy differences.
