Vulcanizer, Accomplice Arrested Over Alleged Murder of Nursing Student in Imo State

Owerri- Two men, including a vulcanizer identified as Onyema Okonkwo, have been arrested in connection with the alleged killing of a female nursing student named Wendy Achumba, in Umulogha, Obowowo Local Government Area of Imo State.
Inside Agwa News gathered that the suspects were reportedly apprehended on Saturday following intelligence provided by local youths and have since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Owerri for further interrogation.
It was gathered that the incident allegedly occurred on Thursday when the suspects invaded the victim’s hostel room. During the attack, the young woman was reportedly sexually assaulted and later killed in an attempt to prevent her from identifying them.
Sources further claimed that the victim managed to struggle with the attackers and inflicted injuries on one of them, leaving scratches around his neck and throat area, which later helped in tracking down the suspects.
Security operatives are continuing investigations into the incident.
