The Chudification Campaign Team, 2027, Oguta LGA Chapter, heartily congratulates our principal, Hon. (Barr.) Chudi Egwe Evans, on his resounding victory in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary election for the Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru-West Federal Constituency.
We also extend our profound appreciation to the national leadership of the NDC, under the chairmanship of Senator Cleopas Zuwoghe, the National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, and members of the National Election/Selection Committee for successfully conducting the party's nationwide primary elections. Their commitment to strengthening internal democracy within the party is commendable.
Similarly, we appreciate the leadership of the party in Imo State under Barr. Reginald Uwakwe, State Chairman, alongside all party leaders and stakeholders whose dedication has continued to strengthen the NDC across the state.
Special recognition goes to Hon. Amanze Obi, PhD, Apex Leader of the Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru-West Federal Constituency and former Commissioner for Information and Tourism, for his unmatched efforts in building and consolidating the party's structures within the constituency.
We equally salute the leadership and members of the party across Ohaji-Egbema, Oguta, and Oru-West Local Government Areas for their steadfast commitment to the ideals and vision of the NDC.
The victory of Hon. (Barr.) Chudi Egwe Evans did not come as a surprise. It is a reflection of his consistency, sacrifices, and uncompromised commitment to the growth and development of the party. Over the years, he has invested significantly in party-building efforts, including support for membership registration, logistics, grassroots mobilization, party meetings, office accommodation, and sponsorship of party members to important national engagements, including the party's convention in Abuja.
His dedication to the party, coupled with his strong grassroots support and established political structures across the federal constituency, earned him overwhelming acceptance among party members and stakeholders.
POSITION ON THE PRIMARY ELECTION IN OGUTA LGA
While congratulating our principal on his victory, we consider it necessary to respectfully draw the attention of the National Leadership and the Election/Selection Committee to the situation in Oguta Local Government Area.
Our position remains that no valid primary election was conducted in Oguta LGA for the Ohaji-Egbema/Oguta/Oru-West Federal Constituency contest. Consequently, any result purportedly emanating from Oguta should be subjected to thorough scrutiny and verification in the interest of fairness, transparency, and justice.
It is important to state that the primary election was duly conducted and concluded in Ohaji-Egbema and Oru-West Local Government Areas, where Hon. (Barr.) Chudi Egwe Evans emerged victorious through the votes of party members in accordance with the provisions and guidelines governing the party's direct primary process.
Given the outcome of the duly conducted primaries in these two local government areas, we respectfully urge the national leadership of the party to ensure that only results arising from properly conducted electoral processes are recognized and considered.
As a party founded on the principles of justice, equity, transparency, and internal democracy, we are confident that the NDC leadership will uphold these values and protect the integrity of its electoral process.
We therefore respectfully appeal that the mandate freely given to Hon. (Barr.) Chudi Egwe Evans by party members in the areas where elections were successfully conducted be protected and duly recognized.
Once again, we congratulate our principal on this significant victory and assure him of our continued support as we work together towards securing victory for the NDC in the 2027 general elections.
