NDC Submits Candidates Across 19 Northern States, FCT to National Leader

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has concluded the coordination and formal submission of its candidates across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in preparation for the forthcoming electoral contests.
The exercise, which was carried out in collaboration with the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and candidates at various levels, was formally concluded on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
The names of the candidates were subsequently presented to the NDC National Leader, His Excellency, Senator Seriake Dickson, marking the completion of a major stage in the party’s preparations for the elections.
The coordinator of the exercise, RMK, said the process was conducted in a spirit of collaboration, support and solidarity among party stakeholders.
According to him, the successful completion of the submission process was made possible through the cooperation of the National Working Committee and candidates across the affected states.
He expressed appreciation to Senator Dickson, the NWC and all candidates for their cooperation and commitment throughout the exercise.
“I express our profound gratitude to the National Leader, the National Working Committee, and all the candidates for their cooperation and unwavering commitment,” RMK said.
He described the development as more than the completion of an administrative process, stressing that it represents another important step towards strengthening the NDC ahead of the elections.
“This is more than the completion of a submission process; it is another decisive step towards building a formidable NDC team capable of competing strongly at every level,” he said.
The coordination covered the party’s candidates across the 19 northern states and the FCT, bringing together stakeholders involved in the candidate submission process.
The completion of the exercise is expected to provide the party with a clearer organisational structure as it moves into the next phase of its electoral preparations.
Party stakeholders are now expected to focus on strengthening coordination among candidates, party structures and campaign teams as the political process progresses.
